Show MINERSVILLE Seijgeant Arlo Carter is home friends and relatives while on furlough fur-lough from the San Diego naval station. Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Williams are for a brief furlough before entering enter-ing the military hospital at Spokane, Spo-kane, Washington. He, together with his brother, Clair, and his father, L. L. Carter, have successfully success-fully hunted lion on the Beaver mountains, capturing three of the great beasts. Daren McKnight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen McKnight, is home from service with the merchant marine, where he has spent the past year. He has visited most of the islands of the south Pacific, having been fireman on a troop transport. He has seen many of the battlefields. Ceroid (Jerry) Eyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre, is visiting attending the Wbolgrowers convention con-vention in Salt Lake City. The Minersville Junior High basketball team and the M-Men team defeated the two teams from Milford last Monsay night. The Minersville ward building fund committee is inaugerating an extensive drive for funds with a dance, supper and program February Febru-ary 9. It is hoped. that, with the cooperation of everyone, sufficient funds may be raised in the next two years to make a new ward chapel possible. V |
