Fik's of thc Milford News of I j "2J Fifteen years ago this week The Eastern Star ladies had celebrated Robert Morris day with a picnic at McEwen's ranch. Those present were Mesdames J. Williams, H. Doolittle, P. J. Evans, Billy Williams, C. C. Sloan, H. Korns, Fred Jefferson, Jas. Boyter, D. A. Baxter, W. Coon, H. Gourley, Wm. Cochrane, A. McKeon, C. G. Haskell, C. J. Mc-Intire, Mc-Intire, A. C. Nebeker, and Roy Pettie, with their children, and Alice Frizzell, Mr. W. B. Coon and J. I. Sanders. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kinney and children and Misses Irene Tanner and Aleene Miller had returned from an auto trip to Bryce's canyon. can-yon. R. H. Siddoway, state fish and game commissioner, had announced announc-ed the open season on mourning doves during the entire month of September. L. G. Clay had returned from a two weeks trip to Fillmore. Miss Levah Smithson had arrived ar-rived in Milford from Seattle, Washington, where she had been for several months. Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Fournier had moved to the Telluride plant Mr. Fournier was to take the place of Mr. Diehl as superintendent. superinten-dent. Messrs. Ray and LaMor Outzen had entertained at an oyster supper sup-per at the Capital mine. Those present were Misses Lolita Leach, Alta Edwards, Ardath Johnson, Idonna White, Louise Poulton and Vera White; and Messrs. De-Loy De-Loy White, Marion Vincent, Al Kirk, George Moore, Earl Wan-en and Bell. The Federated Shop Craftsmen, local rnion organization, was preparing pre-paring for a big Labor day celebration, cele-bration, with a baseball game between be-tween the Milford Bloomer girls and the Car Whackers as the opposing op-posing teams. The two teams were composed of the following-: Bloomer girls Kitty Carter, Alta Al-ta Edwards, Ethel Nowers, Phylis Ldedtke, Maud Reveal, Louise Poulton, Emma Smith, lAnnetta Gleason, Bertha Hickman, Weston, Wes-ton, Johnson and White. Car Whackers Dave Tanner, Charles Schow, P. Phillips, Charles Clements, Clem-ents, Roy Cottrell, L. A. Tom-sick, Tom-sick, Joe Murdock, Mike Muller, Walt Muir, Garzand, Jenkins and Allen. |
