Show Small Crowd Out For Musical Treat A small but deeply interested audience was given a real treat Monday evening in the form of a musical program, presented by a group of instructors and students from the Branch Agricultural college col-lege of Cedar City. The program was sponsored by the Milford Parent-Teachers association as-sociation and was under the direction di-rection of Wayne Bennion. It consisted con-sisted of a short talk by Mr. Bennion, Ben-nion, vocal solos and duets by Morris Mor-ris Rowley and Harold Pfister, students of Mr. Manning of the college faculty, and violin and violoncello solos and ensembles by-Donald by-Donald Olson, who is taking the place of Professor Roy Halverson I during the latter's leave of ab- sence; Everett Larson, instructor in .the music department of the college; and Miss Gwen Hansen, ! accompanist. Vocal and instrumental instru-mental numbers alike were rendered render-ed with real ability and feeling, the vocal duets being especially fine. Of the instrumental numbers the arrangement of Wagner's "Evening "Eve-ning Star" from Tannhauser. for cello, and the trio rendition of Dvorak's "Songs My Mother Taught Me", were particularly pleasing. . o |
