Show 'School Ittotes I FIRST and SECOND GRADES We Made Butter We brought some sour cream. We put it in bottles. We took turns shaking the 'bottles. The butter soon came. The butter was in a big yellow ball. There was buttermilk around the butter. We poured the buttermilk off. We put it in a pan. Then we washed the butter. We had to work the butter well. We salted the butter. Then we spread the butter on cookies. We ate the cookies. We liked the butter verv much. Milk Milk is good for children. Milk makes you healthy and strong. Milk makes good bones and teeth. We should drink three glasses of milk every day. First Grade. FOURTH GRADE We were having a spelling contest. con-test. We could not miss a word for six weeks. Kathlyn O'Leary and I did not miss any words. I received re-ceived a book on "Butterflies of America". Kathlyn received a book on dogs. There are four more books. The names of these books i are "Mexico", "Seeing America",! "A Children Garden of Verses"! and "Indians". Ann Marie. Thanksgiving Hay This year 1 will have many things to be thankful fur. 1 am thankful because I have plenty t' eat, plenty of good milk and cheese to eat and drink, and best of all I do not have to worry about Indians.
