Show Lincoln Begins Shipping Three Carloads a Week With one car of ore shipped Tuesday, another to go out Thursday Thurs-day and still another to be shipped immediately thereafter, the Lincoln Lin-coln Mining company this week again entered the lists as a shipper ship-per after several months of drainage drain-age and other work made necessary neces-sary by some 30 years of inactivity inac-tivity at the property which is located lo-cated north of Minersville. Shipping of three cars of ore regularly each week is the objective objec-tive of the Lincoln, according to Louis A. Sanford, vice president and general manager, who returned return-ed Wednesday from a hurried business trip to Los Angeles. The Lincoln mine, now operated under a Utah charter, has reached this shipping objective only after some trying experiences which only the wellknown worth of the mine and the faith and courage of Sanford and his associates could have overcome. Despite the fact that motor trouble and other mishaps have served to set the drainage operations back from j time to time, at all times the company com-pany kept its force of men intact and the people of Milford who have watched with keen interest the pi-ogress of these operations will rejoice with the company officials of-ficials in the fact that this famous old mine is again a shipper. n |
