Art Gilbert was taking a lesson from her. Other numbers on the program were a harmonica duet by Joseph Mastros and Warren Ferguson, a song by Ellen Ellingsworth, a dance by Peggy Blackburn and Rosalie Koch, a play with Itha Skinner, Warren Ferguson, Fer-guson, Ray Fisher and Selma Johnston, John-ston, and a trombone duet by Johnny Clay and Richard Hickman. Irene McCulley. Back to Grammar The Junior English class decided, or I mean Miss Fernley did, to give our literature book a rest for a while. So this morning every one was blowing the dust off his grammar book so he could study more about grammar. Doesn't this sound just like a woman wo-man always changing her mind? Girl's Basket-ball Game Some of the girls of the Milford High school organized two teams. The ! Seniors, Sophomores and Seventh ! grade, and the Juniors, Freshman and i Eighth grade composed the teams. j These two teams played Saturday night before the league game with ' Delta. The score was 7 to 9 in favor of the Seniors, Sophs and Seventh grade. Audrey Raines. j Fight ! Did they fight? I'll say they did. All of your townspeople should have .seen that game Saturday night between be-tween Delta and Milford. It took all those Delta fellows had to win. Next time it will take all they have to keep our boys from making mak-ing more baskets. Kathryn Kirk. More Fun What is the matter with the school ? Why don't they have a few dances and parties ? The parties we've had have certainly been enjoyable, but I we haven't had enough. That will increase in-crease the interest of the students as j well as show them a good time. Come on students lets have our way for j once. Lets demand a dance after the I next home game. Jack Weston. . Basket Ball Game j Our first League Basket Ball game ' was played with Delta Saturday night. Everyone was quite surprised at the ' team and at the good work that they did. The game was very exciting all ' the way through and at the half Delta ! '.-.-as in the head by one point. But, at last at the finish they were in the lead 1 for eight points. But it's no use cry-! cry-! ing over spilt milk. We'll do better j next time. Adele Kinney. I Ag. News Well, the Ag club has started something some-thing else. A committee of three I boys has been appointed to "match j up," some of the fellows for boxing j and wrestling so that the club may I enjoy seeing a few bouts on club days, (Wednesdays) at three o'clock. We only hope they don't get to rough. Leonard Twitchell. |
