Show CHANGE MADE IN MANAGERS AT THE ATK1N HOTEL Effective Sunday January 15, A. A. Mclntyre of Salt Lake City, became manager of the Atkin Hotel in this city. G. A. Halverson, who has been manager since the departure of Mrs. Annie J. Atkin last February, departed depart-ed Tuesday with his wife, and four children for their former home in Salt Lake City. White entertained enter-tained at a turkey dinner at their home Sunday for Mrs. Raines and family. The evening was spent playing play-ing bridge and enjoying a radio pio-gram. pio-gram. Boys Organize Club Ten boy friends of Robert Martin met at the latter's home Monday evening ev-ening at 7 o'clock for the purpose of organizing a "Leighton Around the World" club. After the organization of the club the youngsters listened to the Leighton Around the World program pro-gram on the radio. They will meet again next Monday evening. Birthday Anniversaries, Celebrated On Saturday afternoon, January 7, Mrs. Rue Neilsen celebrated her birthday birth-day anniversary, at a bridge tea, at her home. It was also the birthday of Mrs. Lloyd F. Kohler and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Clark who were honored guests. Other guests were Mrs. W. O. Carlson, Carl-son, Mrs. Antone Johnson, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. Wm. Morris, Mrs. Max Gillins, Mrs. Joe Smith and Mrs. M. H. Pool. Prizes were igiven to Mrs. Wm. Morris and Mrs. Hughes. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostess at 5 o'clock. Margaret Cochrane Hostess at I Birthday Party . Miss Margaret Cochrane was the charming hostess to a number of guests at her home, Thursday evening, even-ing, the occasion being Miss Coch-rane's Coch-rane's birthday. Five tables of bridge and fortune telling furnished the evenings ev-enings entertainment after which a delicious two-course luncheon was served. Ladies Social Club Enjoy Evening The Ladies Social club of the M. E. church enjoyed a delightful evening of fun at the church Thursday evening. even-ing. Mrs. Freda Outzen and I. L. Kelly amused the audience with a clever gossip skit. Miss Bernice Outzen Out-zen rendered a song. Games were played after which light refreshments were served to twenty-seven members. mem-bers. Mir. Entertain Ward Officers and Friends Mr. and Mrs. Rue Neilsen entertained entertain-ed the Milford Ward Bishopric and the superintendency of the Milford ward Sunday school at their home Monday evening. During the evening "Bunco" was played and at 11 o'clock-delicious o'clock-delicious refreshments were served. The guests included Bishop and Mrs. Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Joy Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Art Clark, Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd F. Kohler, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beard, Dr. C. R. Parrish and Helen Clark. Prizes were given to Mrs. Lloyd Kohler for high score for ladies and to Mrs. Art Clark low for ladies. Mr. Joy Christensen won high for men and Mr. Charles Beard, low for men. Rebekahs Entertain The members of the 1. O. O. F. lodge and the members of Victory Re-bekah Re-bekah Lodge No. 43 held a joint meeting meet-ing Monday night in the I. O. O. F. hall. The usual order of business was followed, after which the ladies were allowed to voice their opinion, which, of course, they did with marked success. suc-cess. Following lodge, the ladies served refreshments to a large number num-ber of members. Mrs. Susan Glenn, Mrs. Dora Johnson, Mrs. Bertha Sherwood Sher-wood were the committee. Tables of five hundred and dancing furnished entertainment for the evening. even-ing. High prizes were won by Miss Letha Schow, and Roy Cottrell. Low prizes were won by Mrs. C. E. Stone-hocker Stone-hocker and George Litchfield. The evening was voted a large success. |
