Clay, had been among the Milford visitors. a Recent advice received from Dan Smithson had stated that he had reached his destination, Memphis, Tenn. He had shipped out with a carload of his best horses, declaring on leaving that he would return with the tin, Liberty bonds or cotton. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Bird were rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a little song bird that had made its arrival Saturday, March 1. A dancing party had been given at the home of Mrs. Clark Keslelr. Those present had included Mr. and Mrs. George Fernley, Mr. and M!rs. George Ransom, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kesler, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Tanner and Mir. and Mrs. Charles Bixler. The hotel Atkin was advertising excellent breakfasts, appetizing lunches, the .. best dinnei's in the state for the price and short ordetrs of all kinds with an extra corps of efficient cooks employed there. A masquerade dance at the higTi school had been much enjoyed. A-mong A-mong the notable character portrayals por-trayals had been Miss Ilimstreet as an old negro wench, Billy Tanner as a fine looking old lady, Miss Margetts as a little school girl, Alta Edwards as Bo-Peep, Misses Carteir and Evans as Two Little Girls in Blue, Spence Schow and Tom Barton as two very bewitching and charming young ladies, Clara Ferguson as little Buster Brown, Anetta Schow as Mairy Jane, Alice McCullum as an old fisherman. |
