Show MILFORD MAYOR JOINS ! Blood in a proclamation issued Saturday, and in which Mayor O. F. Jtubbell, on behalf of the town of Milford, j joins most heartily. The proclamation declares the two weeks beginning April 9 as Better Homes weeks, and invites citizens to cooperate wholeheartedly in carrying out the purposes of such observance. The Hovernou's proclamation follows: fol-lows: "Whereas, the National Better Homes of America annually conduct a drive solely for the purpose of developing de-veloping interest in the improvement, beautif ication and development of homes and surroundings, and "Whereas, the Utah Better Homes organization is coordinating its activities activ-ities for the year 1933 with the activities activ-ities known as the renovizing campaign, cam-paign, for the purpose of improving and beautifying the home and improving im-proving the general appearance of the community as a whole, and j "Whereas, particularly this year, the undertaking is deserving of the utmost consideration, not only from the standpoint of beautification of! the community, but as a means of as-j sisting and relieving the present unemployment un-employment situation; "Now therefore, I, Henry H. Blood, governor of Utah, do hereby designate desig-nate the two weeks from April 9 to 22, inclusive, as the period for the devopoment of better homes and the general improvement of appearances find conditions in all communities of the state. I also suggest and urge that all citizens and agencies give their wholehearted support to this mevement." |
