Show j Mrs. Hopkins to Join Husband on European Tour Mrs. I. J. Hopkins of Beaver, wife of Dr. I. J. Hopkins, has been visiting visit-ing here the past week, says the Richfield Reaper, prior to leaving for a trip to Europe, where she will meet her husband who has been making a specialized study of general gener-al surgery in Hungary the past year, and who is now completing some of his studies at the University of Vienna, Vien-na, Austria, which has the most famous fam-ous medical faculty in the world. Mrs. Hopkins, herself,' expects to enjoy a months study at Vienna before be-fore coming home. She was formerly former-ly Miss Maud Hanchett, daughter of Byron Hanchett of Annabella, and after graduating from the Richfield high school attended the University of Utah, and taught school a year or two before her marriage, later accompanying ac-companying her husband to Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. Before sailing on the Leviathan on June 22, Mrs. Hopkins will visit Dr. and Mrs. Vern Peterson, former Sevier county people, at New York. Dr. and Mrs. Hopkins will have the opportunity of witnessing the famous Passion Play, which is given every ten years in Oberammagau; will visit in southern Italy and tour other European countries before returning re-turning home. Dr. and Mrs. Hopkins' children will stay during their mother's absence ab-sence at the home of their uncle and aunt, Sheriff and Mrs. V. M. Fairbanks. Fair-banks. Mrs. Hopkins will leave today, to-day, her departure having been delayed de-layed a few days because her son Bobbie contracted blood poisoning, but he is now recovering splendidly. |
