Show BROTHER OF FORMER TOWNSMEN DIES George W. Hanks, 64, brother of J. S. Hanks and H. T. Hanks, former residents of Milford and property owners here, died in Dallas, Texas, Thursday of heart disease. Mr. Hanks1 formerly lived in Salt Lake and at the time of his death was visiting with his son, Dr. George Hanks, in charge of the veterans' hospital in Dallas. He was born in Paragonah, Utah, but had made his home in Pangitch most of his life, where he had engaged in the mercantile mercan-tile business. He formerly held the contract to deliver mail between Marysvale and Kanosh. Mr. Hanks came .to Salt Lake about 10 years ago and left Salt Lake to go to Texas in 1928. Besides J. S. Hanks and Dr. Hanks,, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Zina Hanks of Dallas; one other oth-er son and two daughters, Arthur E. Hanks and Mrs. Lucille Cramer of Portland, Ore., and Miss Inez Hanks of New York; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Barton of Paragonah, and two other brothers, H. T. Hanks of Los Angeles Ange-les and W. D. Hanks of LaGrande, Ore. His body will be taken to Pan-guitch Pan-guitch for funeral services and burial. |
