Show WORK SUSPENDED ON ERECTION OF RADIO STATION IN MILFORD A telegram received Tuesday by Don F. Sutton ,in charge of the erection erec-tion of the radio broadcasting station in Milford, from the U. S. Department Depart-ment of Commerce, ordered ajl construction con-struction work on the plant to cease until March 11 The extreme cold weather is given as the cause for delaying de-laying the completion of the plant. William Martin had been given the contract for the concrete work and was preparing the forms for the work when the order was received. Mr. Sutton stated that the officials vcre not aware that the excavating had been completed, and that he had wired that it was possible under the present- weather conditions to compete com-pete the concrete pillars for the towers. tow-ers. He is awaiting further orders. All the wires for the underground circuits have been laid ,and the. work vas progressing very satisfactory at the time the order to suspend operations opera-tions was received. However, the unusual cold weather at this time of year, makes pouring of concrete rather a questionable operation, op-eration, and the temporary sus-I sus-I pension of the work at this, time, will enable the department to proceed after af-ter March 1 in a more expedient, manner. man-ner.
