Show I BEAVER William F. Knox, for the past twenty years one of the most prominent prom-inent attorneys in southern Utah, is preparing to move to California to reside. He retains extensive land interests in-terests here, however, which will require re-quire a part of his time in Beaver. Geo. C. Murdock and T. W. Gunn were transacting business in Milford Wednesday. Dr. A. J. Hutchings of St. George, formerly of Beaver, announces the marriage of his daughter, Lorna, to Myles E. Judd on Thursday, November Novem-ber 26. Donald, 9-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Patterson of this city, died at the family residence at 3 a. m. Saturday, of pneumonia and complications. compli-cations. Besides the parents, the baby is survived by a sister, Edna, and a brother, Junior. Funeral services ser-vices were held Monday. Miss Anne Madsen of Logan has been selected by County Supernten-dent Supernten-dent S. M. Wittwer to fill the vacancy in the Minersville high school caused by the resignation of Miss Melba Theurer of Logan, who left last week. Miss Madsen began work Monday. Graveside services for Mrs. Amy Green Alcott, 41, former Beaver resident, re-sident, who died Thursday at 5:30 p. rri. of cancer of the stomach at her home in Clear Creek canyon, were held Sunday at 3 p. m. at Mountain View cemetery under the direction of Bishop C. Dennis White. Funeral services had been held at 10 a. m. at Cove. The grave was dedicated by Bishop C. Dennis White. Mrs. Alcott was born here July 24, 1890, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Green. She lived here until 1917 ,when they moved to Clear Creek canyon. She is survived by her husband, George Alcott, and eight sons and daughters, Howard .Alice, Rulon, Aubrey, Au-brey, , Viola, Arlene, Georgina and Ruby Alcott, Clear Creek; five brothers broth-ers and a sister, Albert and Harry Green and Mrs. Edna Crosby, Beaver; John Green, Manila; James and, Sidney Sid-ney Green, California. o |
