Show PLUG ABANDONED FOR FAST FLYING FLIVVER ' Pedestrian form of travel seemed too tedious to the Misses Murdock and Evans, beauty specialists at the Paris Shoppe. So last week an an- tiuqated buckboard, drawn by an ancient nag, conveyed them to their business on Main street. Not for many months has there been a horse cajoled away from his mow of alfal- fa to Milford's main street. The sight of this one, with his . sylphlike form, proved an un- usual novelty to citizens. This week, the ladies are be- ing seen traveling in whirl- wind fashion on their errands . via a one-ton Ford truck, of doubtful age, but far better than the horse of post-colt- hood days. Rumor has it that the nag died of a broken heart. |
