Show WOULD FIRE THE MAYOR OF LAS VEGAS Bringing to the surface a long smouldering political war fifteen petitions peti-tions were being circulated today for the recall of Mayor J. F. Hess. The petitions must contain 378 signatures, according to the recall statute. The petition in part states: "The Mayor has failed to administer adminis-ter and perform the duties of his office of-fice for the best interests of the citizens and taxpayers and has been in opposition to the will of his con-Btitutents con-Btitutents and no longer enjoys their full confidence and respect." Mrs. C. W. Br&dshaw, mother of the eight-year-old boy who was shot and killed by the city police officers in an attempt to arrest the boy's father last June, is one of the women circulating the petltioaa. The Breeze ease, disputes over street paving, changing the alignment align-ment of certain streets, dry law vio lations and the Bradshaw shooting are some of the things that led up to the attempted recall.
