Show BEACON TO BE SEEN AT FORTY MILES TWENTY-SIX LIGHTS TO SURROUND FIELD I s Beacon lights are being installed near the Milford Airfield, with C. E. Krause, of the Department of Commerce, Com-merce, in charge of the work. The beacon will flash a light which can be seen for forty miles. Power will be. obtained from the Telluride Power company. Our field here will have twenty-six border lights around it. Three planes ore now put to use in mapping the air route in this particular district. Beacon lights will be three miles apart in this district. They are set on towers tow-ers fifty-one feet high. The local beacon bea-con will be .situated about a half-mile from the high school building, on the uplands west of town. A small corps of men at work in locating the site of the beacons on the Salt Lake-Las Vegas line has made Milford its headquarters a few days this week. |
