Show Africa Import Bugs South Africa hasn't enough bugs of Its own; it has to send to California for additional supplies. However, the Importations are of useful insects, the ladybird beetles, which have been found highly useful friends of orchard-ists orchard-ists in the American West. South African Af-rican trees were suffering from the attack of a pernicious mealybug, and a trial showed that the voracious little spotted beetles from America had large appetites for the troublesome creatures. It Is hoped that the imported im-ported American stock can be increased in-creased and that an efficient fighting army of Insects can be recruited from their descendants. |
