Show BEAVER PEOPLE INJURED IN L. A. CRASH RECOVERING Wilford Robinson and Mrs. Kate Joseph, returned Sunday to their homes in Beaver from Los Angeles where they had been called by the serious condition of their sister, Mrs. Zoe Betteridge, and her husband George Betteridge, who were hit by a car while crossing a street in Los Angeles last week. Mr. Robinson stated that while the victims of the accident are not out of danger, their condition is favorable. favor-able. Mrs. Betteridge's leg was broken brok-en in two places, her pelvis bone fractured frac-tured and hip injured. She will be compelled to remain in a cast for several sev-eral months. Mr. Betteridge received receiv-ed a concussion of the skull, resulting in a brain hemorrhage. The accident occurred when a seventeen-year-old boy driving his mother's moth-er's machine, without a driver's license, li-cense, crashed through a stop-light at the rate of fifty miles an hour, striking Mr. and Mrs. Betteridge as they were crossing the street. The boy's step-father is an attorney in Los Angeles. Mrs. Emma Robinson, mother of Mrs. Betteridge will remain in Los Angeles until the injured couple have recovered sufficiently to be brought to Beaver. |
