More than 150 from All Parts of the County Attend Republican Meet James Devine, of Salt Lake City, ulegized the ideals and deeds of A:);aham Lincoln and spoke upon the principles of the Republican Party ut a huge gathering of the Beaver County Republican Club in Milford Wednesday evening. A hundred and fifty guests were seated at the banquet ban-quet tables at the Union Pacific and others were turned away for lack of seating room. The assemblage was a group representing all precincts of the county, Minersyille and Beaver being especially well represented with large delegations. In speaking Mr. Devine paid high tribute to the efforts of those res-'' res-'' ponsible for the meeting and com plimented the town of Milford for its ability to entertain so well. In speaking of the memory of Lincoln, he disclaimed that his admirers revere Lincoln for the man alone, but rather for his ideals, which when put into deeds, brought forth the freeing of the slaves in the United States. In speaking on current politics, Mr. De-vine De-vine urged the Republicans to work .jf together, saying that while Utah chose Democrats for the office of governor and one senatorship, Republicans Re-publicans in Utah outnumbered members mem-bers of all other political parties. He said that preservation of the home was one of the strongest principles of the Republican party. The complete program which was presided over by Superintendent J. C.
