Show SOCIETY Pierian Club The Pierian club held its semimonthly semi-monthly meeting last Tuesday evening, even-ing, May 27th, at the home of Mrs. Joseph Murdock, Sr. All members were present and an excellent program pro-gram was given. A delicious luncheon lunch-eon was served at a long table, centered cen-tered with a bowl of Columbines and other spring flowers. Those present included Mrs. E. L. Bardsley, Mrs. R. E. Ellingsworth, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Hug-hes, Mrs Roy White, Sr.; Mrs. Robt. Sherwood, Mrs. L. G. Clay, Mrs. Freda Outzen and two invited guests Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Eva Evans. LArs. L. E. Turner, of Huntington Park, Calif., was honored guest at a delightful bridge party given Thursday Thurs-day evening by Mrs. M. P. Lewis and Mrs. Scott Tanner at the Myron Lewis home on Stoddard St. The home was beautifully decorated in garden flowers, and the guests were Mrs. F. R. Levi, Mrs. J. H. Hodges, Mrs. Spence Schow, Mrs. Abe Fotheringham, Foth-eringham, Mrs. J. V. Rochek ,Mrs, N. C. Schow, Miss Dorothy Murdock, Mrs. Geo Jefferson, Mrs. Erma Gillies, Gil-lies, Mrs. Scott Tanner, Mrs. Walter Weber, with the following out-of-town guests: Mrs. O. Rogers, Mrs. M. A. Marx, Miss Druce Tanner, and guest of honor, Mrs. Turner. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Weber, points, Mrs. Rochek, honors, and Mrs. N. C. Schow, consolation Light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mrs. Scott Tanner entertained the Old Friends club Wednesday afternoon. after-noon. Present were Miesdames Wm. Carlson, Antone Johnson, Fred Levi, Karl Levi, Nels Schow, M. H. Pool and Mis. John James. Mrs. Karl Levi won high score and Mrs. Pool low score. |
