Show 0 HUNTINGTON YOUTH BADLY INJURED BY DYNAMITE BLAST Lyman Staker, six year old son of Ray Staker of Lawrence, lost the thumb and the fingers of his right hand and buried two pieces of copper in the right side of his head when he dropped a high powered dynamite cap which he had found in a neighbor's neigh-bor's basement. After the accident the boy ran over a half-mile to seek aid. Mrs. Lafayette Christensen assisted as-sisted him into her house, following which Mr. and Mrs. Christensen took the injured youth to Huntington for medical aid. It is reported that he is convalescing but will not be able to attend school again this year. Ten other dynamite caps were found in and around the Staker home. News-Advocate, News-Advocate, Price. |
