Show : TEN CARLOADS DAIRY COWS TO BE PURCHASED BY VALLEY RANCHERS Arrangements have been completed that are satisfactory to the farmers of 'his valley and those financing the project, for the purchase of two hundred hun-dred high class dairy cows which will be shipped in from Wisconsin within' the next few weeks. Gilbert Thatcher, of Ogden, one of. the best known judges of dairy stock ' j in the inter-mountain west, has been employed to make a trip to the dairy1 sections of the northern states and ' make a personal selection of these cows. Mr. Thatcher knows values, : knows cows and knows where to go to get them. He will be accompanied by Fred Levi, cashier of the Milford Slate Bank, and they expect to leave on the 10th of October. Owing to the' fact that Mr. Thatcher is acting as judge at the Utah State Fair, the gentlemen were unable to leave sooner. Mr. Thatcher is employed by practically prac-tically all the larger dairy farms of the state to purchase stock, and the farmers will be assured that they are getting the very best dairy stock obtainable, ob-tainable, at prices that will prove a good investment. There will be about ten cars of these dairy cows, and the shipment will be made just as soon as the cow? can be selected. Work on the installation of the new Valley Ccamery in Milford is progressing progres-sing nicely, and it is expected to be in operation in the ner.r future. The Miller building has been converted i.. -to a most desirable creamer,' plant, and most of the machinery is installed. install-ed. Mr. Nelson has just returned from a trip to California, and is now prepared to devote his entire time to getting the creamery into operation. i |
