Show ORDINANCE NO. 14 AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE REMOVAL OF SNOW, HAIL AND SLEET FROM SIDEWALKS; REGULATING THE REMOVAL THEREOF AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATIONS OF THE SAME. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF MILFORD, MIL-FORD, UTAH. Section 1. SNOW TO BE REMOVED RE-MOVED FROM SIDEWALKS. It shall be unlawful for the owner, occupant, oc-cupant, lessor, or agent of any property pro-perty abutting on any paved side-j side-j walk to fail to remove or cause to be removed from such paved sidewalk all hail, snow, or sleet falling thereon, there-on, within one hour after such hail, snow, or sleet has ceased falling; provided, that in case of a storm between be-tween the hours of five o'clock in the afternoon and six o'clock in the morning, such sidewalk shall be cleaned before eight o'clock in the morning following such storm. Section 2. UNLAWFUL TO CLOG GUTTERS WITH SNOW. It shall be unlawful for any person removing remov-ing snow from a sidewalk, as provided provid-ed in section 1 of this ordinance, or for any person by any means what ever, to deposit snow, dirt or other material in a gutter so as to clog the same, or prevent the free flow of water therein. Section 3. PENALTY. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction convic-tion thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than Five Dollars, ($5.00), or more than Twenty Five Dollars, ($25.00), or by imprisonment imprison-ment in the Town Jail for a period of not more than ten days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 4. ORDINANCE TO BECOME BE-COME EFFECTIVE. This ordinance ordin-ance shall take effect and be in force upon the tenth day after its publication. publica-tion.
