Show JOLLIFICATION HELD AT BEAVER BY LIONS Beaver and Milford Lions clubs, held a joint banquet and dance at Beaver Friday evening in honor of the visit of the District Governor, Guy S. Richards of American Fork. The banquet was held at the Beaver Beav-er Hotrtl, with cowi's laid for 85 guests. In addition to the Beaver and Milford Lions, representative from Fillmore, Cedar City and Rich-field Rich-field clubs were present. L. R. Four-nier, Four-nier, of the Richfield club was toast-master, toast-master, and his ready wit and genial personality radiated good spirits over the entire gathering. Reports were given of the activities of the Milford club by Milton H. Pool, president; pre-sident; of the Cedar club, by 'Lion Riddle, president; by Judge Huntsman Hunts-man for the Fillmore club, and by Dr. E. A. Petty, president of the Beaver club. Prof. Hand of the Milford Mil-ford club furnished several pleasing musical numbers. Others who assisted as-sisted on the program were Mrs. R. E. Ellingsworth, of Milford and Mrs. Lucille Williams, of Beaver. District Governor Richards made an interesting talk on Lionism, stressing stres-sing the point that the Lions organization organi-zation is the fastest growing and now largest service club in the United Unit-ed States. After the banquet the guests adjourned ad-journed to the Legion hall where! the Milford orchestra furnished splendid dance music for the guests for several hours. The meeting was one of the largest attended get-together meeting's ever held by the Lions of Southern Utah. |
