Show STATE UNIVERSITY I DRAWS ENROLLMENT j FROM 78 COLLEGES ! Students from seventy-eight colleges coll-eges and universities of the United States and foreign countries transferee trans-feree to the University of Utah during dur-ing the college year 1930-31, according accord-ing to Miss Jeanne M. Home, assistant recorder. These were from twenty-three twenty-three Istates of the United States, Washington, D. C, the Philippines, England, France, Germany, Holland, Japan ,and Scotland. It is estimated that former students of more than one hundred colleges and universities of the world were included in the total registration for the year, according accord-ing to Miss Home. Geographically the transer students from American universities repersent-ed repersent-ed all sections of the country. The states represented are Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvan-ia, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Idaho, Nebraska, Wyoming, Arizona, Washington, Wisconsin, Utah, California, Calif-ornia, Missouri Oregon, Kentucky, Colorado, South Dokota, Mississippi, and Nevada. Nine students transfered from the foreign universities. "These students are the average of other schools whose grades are as high or higher than the standard required for graduation by the institutions in-stitutions from whicb they have transferred," said Miss Home, "They have come from some of the leading universities of the United States and Europe, including the University of Chicago, New York Univesity, Stanford, Stan-ford, the University of California and Oxford, England." |
