Show MINERS VILLE 4 Miss Elsie Hales, county librarian, was a visitor at the public library Friday Fri-day evening. Mrs. Walter Dalton and son, Harold, Har-old, are visiting relatives in Venice, California. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carter and daughter, Lillian spent Thursday, Friday Fri-day and Saturday at Fish Lake where they attended a trappers convention. Mr. and Mrs. George Dalton have as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Mortensen and children of Los Angeles, Ange-les, California. Clayton Conger returned to his home at Caliente, Nevada Sunday af-, af-, ter being here for two weeks as the guest of Nolan Osborne. Mr. and Mrs. William Baker have as their guests Mrs. Alfreda Moyes and children. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Rollins and family fam-ily of Parowan are here with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Griffith and children of Salt Lake City are here at the J. M. Griffith home. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mathews had as dinner guests Monday, Mrs. Arthur Barber and daughter, LaRee, of Lay-ton, Lay-ton, Utah and Mrs. Wallace Limb of Beaver. Mrs. Bert Wilson and daughter, Genieve, of Long Beach, California are in town. County Sperintendent, S. M. Witt-wer Witt-wer of Beaver was in town Friday. Mrs. Clarence Gillins returned home Monday after spending the past ten days in Caliente, Nevada. Word was received Saturday telling of the death of Miss Blanche Light-ner Light-ner who die at the Mental Hospital in Provo. Miss Lightner was twenty-four twenty-four years old. Rex Marshall was the honored guest at a Canyon Party Monday evening on his birthday anniversary. Swimming was enjoyed after which refreshments were served to thirty guests. The Primary officers a,nd teachers and the members of the trail builder classes enjoyed a picnic at Radium Springs, Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. August Anderson who are on a four month trip visited at A. O. Hardy's. Mr. and Mrs. Burns Tebbs and daughter, Ruth were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. 0. Hardy. Elma Bird and Margaret Cochrane visited with Eugene and Ruby Hardy Saturday evening. Mrs. Ida Hollingshead just return-ed return-ed from a visit to Cedar City. |
