Show VERY HIGH GRADE ORE IS EXFOSED AT MOSCOW MINE FIND IS CAUSE OF REJOICING AND A BANQUET IS HELD Management and employees of the Moscow Mine are celebrating what purports to he an excellent discovery at the workings west of Milford. A chimney of ore about six feet wide has been found which extends down ten feet and to what, it is thought to be, a large bedding of ore. The depth of. the shaft is 1100 feet, and in drifting off three hundred feet, on a stope the find was uncovered. The ore assays 61 per cent lead and 120 ounces of silver per ton. Some of the ore assayed 78 per cent lead. Celebrate Lewis Merritt and Garret Wilkins, general manager and superintendent respectively, entertained the mine workers at a banquet at the Atkin Hotel Sunday evening. The place cards were unique and valuable. An ordinary ordin-ary envelope was carelessly laid at each plate; when it was opened a crisp ten dollar bill was found inside. Mr. Merritt and Mr. Wilkin expressed in glowing terms the true friendship and tried loyalty of their workers. Each guest responded with a short response betokening the esteem tlit-y felt for the Moscow management. rffT'. |
