Show IJQT ELIMINATE TURN f ON U. S. HIGHWAY , I" ! DESIRE OF BEAVER PEOPLE OVER-RULED It has been definitely decided, according ac-cording to reports brought to Beaver Beav-er by the ones who attended the conference con-ference held with the State Highway commission in Salt Lake City, that the highway thru the city of Beaver, known as Highway No. 91, will be constructed on a straight line, going .south from the Doughboy statue to the end of Main street, thence bias-wise bias-wise to the Beaver bridge, there to connect up with the old route. The new road, under the Federal Aid project, is to be built this year. Regardless of a popular desire of the townspeople to have the route remain re-main as it now is, when plans were placed before the United States government, gov-ernment, the War department gave out it ultimatum that the road should be built straight through the city as surveys designate it should do. The "S" curve north of Beaver must also be changed, according to the same authority. j |
