Show SOUTH MILFORD Mr. I'ruben Siewert of Wilmington, Calif., has been visiting here for the past three weeks part of the time as tbv guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Weber. Web-er. Harold Baxter of the Baxter Motor Co., is helping Arthur Williams with his crop of first cutting alfalfa. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rohn and little daughter were in Salt Lake last Tuesday and Wednesday. The Live Wire girls feel deeply appreciative ap-preciative of the splendid music, so graciously given for their Pep party by Miss Loretta Murdock and Vance Fisher. The club met on Wednesday afternoon and finished their dress linking project. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Roeseler and children of Ogden arrived last Thursday Thurs-day for a visit with the latters parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stanley and sister, Mrs. Walter Weber. Dr. and Mrs. R. J. Carry of Long Boach, Calif., are visiting with Dr. and Mrs. Addison Bybee at Ranch Wassepah. They are returning from the National Tuberculosis convention at Colorado Springs and enroute have toured Estes Park and Yellowstone Yellow-stone Park. They are leaving today for their home via our beautiful southern parks accompanied by Mrs. Bybee who is Mrs. Carry's sister. Rep. W. C. Cates and C. A. Rohn met the Utilities commission on Monday Mon-day afternoon on some matters of vital importance to our ranchers of which we shall hear more at a latter date. GREENVILLE Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Walbeck and daughters Nada and Gladys made a trip to Milford Wednesday. A number of men from here left Tuesday for the Beaver mountains so as to be able to get a early start at fishing Wednesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Parkinson and son Claud and Agnes Morris of Pin-tura Pin-tura came up Tuesday. Mr. Parkinson Parkin-son will fish for a week. Mrs. Parkinson Park-inson and Agnes Morris will visit with their mother, Mrs. J. H. Morris. Bill Martin of Beaver called at the home of his mother, Mrs. Sarah Jane Martin Tuesday. Miss Georgia Easton entertained a number of her friends at her home Tuesday evening. An enjoyable time was had by all. Howard Walbeck left Wednesday for the Milford Flat where he has work for two or three days. George Brown who has been up by Salt Lake herding sheep is visiting at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ivan Frost. Elmer Murdock who has been in Milford visiting with his father, Joseph Jos-eph Murdock for the past three or four days returned home Tuesday. Wallace Outson of Hanging Rock called at the home of P. M. Williams Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Perce M. Williams Wednesday. Dan W. Barton and son West left Thursday for North Creek where they are helping R. R. Thomas with his hay. Claud Parkinson, Ormand Morris, Bill Blackett, Wesley Bolton, West, Joe and Roy Barton returned from the Beaver mountains Thursday. Amasa and Wayne Barton, Jack Williams, S. R. Barton, Robert Brown and Ivan Frost have taken their cattle cat-tle to their summer range. Leland Morris who has been working work-ing on the Manderfield road came home Thursday. Ila Barton entertained her club at her home Thursday. Everyone had an enjoyable time. Frank Williams of Minersville called call-ed on friends and relatives here Tuesday night. Jack Williams went to Minersville on business Thursday. Harold Crawford of Milford called on friends and relatives here Friday. Mrs. Sarah B. Thomas and Luella Baker of North Creek called on friends and relatives here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Blackett proprietor pro-prietor of the Beaver Bakery moved to Greenville and will make their home with Mrs. Blacketts parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan K. Barton. Joe and Roy Barton and Wes Bolton Bol-ton went to North Creek Saturday. Dan W. Barton and West Barton returned re-turned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Spendlove went to St. George where they went through the temple, they reutrned home Tuesday. i Mr. and Mrs. Chester Atkin and son Bobby of Mesquite, Nevada are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Atkin. Lena Barton met with a painful accident ac-cident Saturday when a nail ran in her foot. Blaine Blackett left Sunday for Springville to visit friends and relatives. rela-tives. Bolton of Kelso, Kel-so, Calif., who have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan W. Barton for the past week returned to their home Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Theissen and family of Ely, Nevada are visiting at the home of Mrs. Theissen's mother, Mrs. Sarah Jane Martin. Raema Barton left Monday for Kelso, Calif., where she will spend a month at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wesley Bolton. Henry Limb of Beaver called on friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Blackner and Eva and Grant Murdock called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Kesler of Milford Saturday. Max Edwards and Hyrum Board-man Board-man of Parowan called on friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Blackner and children, Ruth and Melvin of Beaver called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orsen Blackner Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blackner and family and Miss Lottie Murdock of Adamsville spent Sunday here with friends and relatives. Ralph Barton of Milford called at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Barton. Leonard Davis left last week for Delta where he is trying to find employment. em-ployment. Jack Williams, son of P. M. Williams Wil-liams had the misfortune to get his leg kicked by a horse while taking cattle out north. It is reported as getting along nicely. Roy Barton spent a few days at the North Creek with his father and brother who are working there. Fern Murdock is visiting at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Delmar Kesler Kes-ler at Milford. Pauline Williams who has been in Caliente for the past two weeks visiting vis-iting with hep sister, Mrs. Arthur Calvert returned home Monday. Frank, King, Zealand and Ormand Morris, Dan Atkin and Russell Scott are working at North Creek for R. R. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Thompson of Celiente are visiting with friends and relatives. P. M. Williams and Arthur Black ner left Monday where they are employed em-ployed on the road out by Manderfield. Mand-erfield. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hanson and family of Springville, Mrs. Donna Baker and children and Mrs. Dora Bullock of Springville are visiting at the home of their sister, Mrs. Jess Barton. Jess H. Barton passed away at his home Monday night after an illness of seven months. Mrs. Orson Blackner left Monday for the Milford Flat where she will spend a week or two at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Delmar Kesler. MINERSVILLE The Mjesdames Louise Lightner and Mary Clothier were the honored guests at a party Tuesday afternoon at the Relief Society Hall, it being their birthday anniversary. Roy Clothier of Iron Springs spent Saturday here with his mother, Mrs. Mary Clothier. Mr. and Mrs. John Gunn and children child-ren of Adamsville spent Sunday here at the home of Oliver Graff. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hall and son Stanley of Idaho Falls, Idaho, arrived here Saturday where they will spend the summer. Delos Murdock of Beaver visited here Sunday with his brother, Jasper Murdock. Mrs. Fay Hall and children have returned home after spending three weeks in Idaho. The Beaver Stake Sunday school union meeting was held here Sunday officers and teachers of the different wards were in attendance. Mrs. Nora Myers and children of Milford were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Erickson a few days last week. Ellis LeFevre of Big Springs, Nevada Ne-vada is here for a while with his family. fam-ily. Theo and Eleanor Zabriskie spent last week at Milford with relatives. Garn Eyre has returned home after spending some time at Nevada where he has been employed. Hyrum Walker is visiting at Salt Lake City with relatives. ADAMSVILLE Mrs. Frank Jessup and son Leland J motored over from Pioche calling on friends last week. George Westward of Wattis, Carbon Car-bon county is here visiting with his I sister, Mrs. Louis Stewart. j Miss Linda Twitchell of Mander-field Mander-field is here visiting her cousins at the Puffer home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Evans motored ; to Milford Thursday in company with J Wilford Johnson and family, also-Mrs. also-Mrs. David Jones and daughter, Mrs. ! Evans had several teeth extracted while there; her face was badly swollen swol-len from infection. Mrs. Wallace Day and children of Fillmore spent the past two weeks with her parents, W. U. Stewart and wife. W. A. Reese and wife spent a few hours in Milford Thursday. Charles Crawford and his sons of Milford are spending considerable time on Mr. Crawford's ranch at Ab- erdare. Norma Griffiths was visiting during dur-ing the week-end at South Milford with Serola Heslington. Louis Stewart and family also his mother motored over to Wattis, Carbon Car-bon county last week visiting friends and relatives .returning home Friday evening. Miss Linnea Twitchell and Grant Webster of North Creek motored to Adamsville Tuesday visiting with friends for a few hours. R. B. Cutler spent Wednesday night at Aberdare enroute from a i visit to Kanosh. j Lelia Manhard is in Beaver at the home of Mrs. Nellie Ivy for a few days. The Aberdare Bench Canal Co. held an important meeting Saturday. Important Im-portant matters of business were transacted. Nelda Littlefield entertained a large number of young folks at her home Sunday evening. A dainty lap luncheon was served and games played. play-ed. The Furnace Ditch Co., held a meeting of the stockholders Saturday evening. Matters pertaining to the ditch was discussed and items of business were passed upon. Mr. and Mrs. James Boyter was in town visiting Sunday. Floyd Wright is out of town. He has employment with his team on thej state highway. Jack Idle and wife of Beaver were : visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Puffer Sunday. j BEAVER Mr. and Mrs. Charles Price, son and daughter of Riverside, California Califor-nia are here visiting with their mother, moth-er, Mrs. Hannah Price and family. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Limb of Buck-horn Buck-horn were visitors in Beaver the first part of the week. Mrs. Eb Gillies is reported very ill with pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Price and family expect to leave Saturday for a five days vacation trip to Price, Provo and Salt Lake to visit relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. J. They left for Zion National Na-tional Park Tuesday to be gone several sev-eral days, but will return to be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel White. i The Stake Sunday school held their monthly union meeting at Minersville a good attendance present. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollis of Blackrock spent the week-end visit- ing with Mrs. Hollis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Goodwin. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stewart and family and Mrs. Karl Levi, all of Milford spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Burl Ashworth. i Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Griffiths, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Griffiths mother, and nephew D3rrell Griffiths, spent Saturday and Sunday at Panguitch Lake. Mrs. J. A. Powell arrived the latter part of last week to join her husband who is now manager of the Shepherd Creamery. They are temporarily located lo-cated in the Murray Bohn apartment. R. W. Hamilton, of Los Angelei, left Thursday for his home after spending a few days with relatives. Gertrude Hamilton left Thursday for Los Angeles where she will spend a few days with relatives. |
