Show CEDAR MAN LOSES ARM IN TRAIN FALL Herbert Fretwell, 38, of this city, was seriously injured early Saturday morning when he fell from a passenger pas-senger train and was run over. His left arm was severed near the shoulder, shoul-der, and he came near losing his life by loss of blood. The only other injury in-jury he received was a bad bump on the back of his head, and several body bruises. The accident occurred at about 4 a. m. Saturday about 12 miles north of Caliente, Nevada. Mr. Fretwell, who was in Cedar Friday, caught the train at Lund and . was "riding the rods" in an attempt to reach Las Vegas, Ve-gas, and apparently went to sleep and fell under the train. He does not remember just how the accident happened. hap-pened. After the train passed over him he lay there until he was noticed by the crew of the next train which passed at 7 o'clock in the morning. Jack Root, formerly of Cedar City, was brakeman of the second train and recognized re-cognized Mr. Fretwell. The injured man was taken to Caliente and his relatives in Cedar notified.
