Show CEDAR CITY LAMB BOASTS OF TWO HEADS l The "freakiest" freak yet to be found, according to a local taxidermist, taxider-mist, is the two-headed lamb taken from the flock of Rulon S. Wood of Cedar City. Mr. Wood works in the Cedar City postoffice, but during the 16 hours each day which he is not required to work for Uncle Sam he finds time to attend a small' flock of purebred sheep. In his lamb crop this spring was the two-headed freak lamb. It has a fine healthy "twin" still living. The freak lived only a short time, and many local livestock men declare it to be the strangest animal seen by them. The lamb had two full heads and necks, but only four legs. There were two perfect hearts and two sets of lungs, although from the point where the neck joins it looks like a single lamb, except that it has two tails. The lamb was mounted by E. H. Cantrell of Cedar City, who also states that numerous animals have been known to have two heads or two tails, but seldom have they been born with two of each, and never has he known one to have two hearts and two sets of lungs. |
