Show RITES FOR PIONEER BEAVER CO. WOMAN Funeral services were held Monday Mon-day in the West ward chapel for Mrs. Sophia S. Dean, 77, wife of Heber C. Dean, who died at the family residence resi-dence Friday at 11 p. m. of pleural pneumonia. Interment was in Mountain Moun-tain View cemetery. Mrs. Dean was born i nCockham. Langshire, England, December 5, 1854, a daughter of John and Martha Mar-tha Pothivell Swindlehurst. When very young she came to America with her family and in 18 G 8 crossed the plains in the M. C. Carter company, walking the entire distance dis-tance from Fort Lawrence to Salt Lake. She was married April 2, 1879, in the St. George L. D. S. temple. They have lived here since. Four daughters survive, Mrs. Alice Anderson, Oak City; Mrs. Martha Paice, Mrs. Isabell Muir and Amelia Dean, Beaver; 13 grandchildren, four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Smith, Mrs. Amelia Smith, Joseph and Edwin Swindlehurst, Beaver.
