By far the fastest game played on the local floor this season took place last Saturday night when the Mil-fordites Mil-fordites met Hinckley in a rough and tumble contest which ended up in a defeat for Milford. The game started out pretty even. Milford sank the first basket, but Hinckley soon followed with a nice long shot from center. Milford came back fighting, but Hinckley was fighting too. Hinckley ran their score up to twenty-one with Milford still at eleven in the third quarter. In the last quarter Milford boys' were fighting as five men, never fought before. They put in three baskets, one right after the other. Then Hinckley sank another one. Milford got two more. Both teams were fighting hard as the time was getting close to the final whistle, and it was hard to tell just what would happen on either side. But what did happen was just too bad for the Tigers. Tig-ers. The final score was Hinckley 23 Milford 20. Had Milford had another anoth-er minute to play, they would have tied or won, and the story as the whistle blew wou'd hove been different. differ-ent.
