The office of Land Commissioner Herbert Nichols has been designated as the place for registration in Milford Mil-ford for military service. The Boys' Drum Corps, which was organized a short time ago, is getting along splendidly under their three 'able instructors, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Kirk and Mr. Brooks. Decoration Day was observed in Milford by a general suspension of business. The ball game was called off on account of rain, but there was two dances in the evening. Miss Delia Cottrell returned from her visit in Las Vegas. She was quite ill while there having been over come by the heat. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Shaffer, Shaf-fer, a son, Sunday. Fred Rothmier has sold a half interest in-terest in his barber shop to Will Shepherd. Born, to Mr. and .Mrs. J. H. Jeffers in Salt Lake Friday, May 25, a son. G. C. Rupert has arrived from Springville, to relieve Mr. Lemon nt the Mountain States Telephone office. Mrs. J. H. Weston, of Bingham Canyon, is visiting hei parents, Mr. and Mrs. N". C. Schow. The Creole has siarted shipping ore again and long strings of wagons are hauling ore over the state highway high-way to Milford. The Milford Fire department has furnished two more members for Uncle Sam's army. Marion Smith-son, Smith-son, who has just got back from the Mexican border, and Harry Robinson, of the Milford's Clerk's Union. |
