Show u CONTINENTAL OIL CO. SUED FOR $10,000 The Continental Oil .Company must defend itself in a second damage suit, this time for $10,000.00 as a result of the death of Thomas L. Stantliff when he was struck by a Continental Oil Co. car driven by A. T. Farrell, employee of the company on the Buckhorn fiat in May, 1930. Following StantlilT's death his wi dow, Luett J. Stantliff sued the Company Com-pany and Farrell for $30,000 and the case was finally compromised for $4,-100 $4,-100 with each party paying its own costs. Now Stantliff's daughters by a former wife, Mamie Stantliff Howkes and Theo Stanliff of Lambsberg, Virginia, are suing. They claim that they were damaged to that extent, that they were not made parties to the other suit and did not benefit by the settlement. Parowan Times. |
