Show INDIAN CREEK MINE AGAIN TO PRODUCE; GOLD VEIN FOUND The Indian Creek country, made famous by the high-grade ore taken from the Roy Roy mine several years ago, is again attracting the attention at-tention of mining men. Hodges brothers, Joe and Be.rnett Swindle-hurst Swindle-hurst have recently opened up what is known as the Gold Basin property, proper-ty, three miles above the old Rob iRoy, at a depth of twelve feet have j struck a large body of gold-bearing j quarts that promises to-develop into a producing mine. Recent assays obtained from the ore body returned S11S.40 in gold and 1.3 oz. of silver to the ton. The extent of the vein from which these assays were made, has not been determined. de-termined. The vein was opened at grass roots and continues to improve im-prove as the shaft goes down. The boys are highly elated over their discovery and believe they will develop de-velop a producing property. rt |
