Show AMERICAN LEGION VISITS CEDAR CITY The Di triet Convention of the American Am-erican Legion and the Ladies' Auxiliary Auxili-ary was held jointly at Cedar City, Sunday- It 's regretable that more coidd not have been present from Milford, however, our Post and Auxiliary were well represented. Most of the State officials were at th'; convention, and they had ! something to give their hearers that ! vas both instructive and inspiring, j Separate meetings for the men and j women were held in the morning at I which the business of the organizations organiza-tions was transacted. During the noon hour a banquet was held in El E. calante Hotel. A joint meeting to which the public was invited, was held in the Orpheum theatre in the afternoon. At this meelimr, the main speakers were ! State Adjutant Otto Weislev, Judge ; Baliff, of Provo and Judge Howel of ' Os-den. I " Mrs. Baliff, state secretary for : the Ladies' Auxiliary, gave the ladies ! a better understanding of their duties ; as an auxiliary. j This district of the American Le- gion entlorsed a state training school for feeble-minded and also backed the proposed World War memorial, to be erected in Salt Lake City. About twelve from Milford were in attendance at the meeting. |
