Show i ......t..,..,iii in , WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE ADVERTISING In the future, the News will accept no advertising copy for publication in the current issue is-sue at any time later than Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Present conditions condi-tions have brought about extreme ex-treme difficulties in presenting our readers a well balanced and well made-up newspaper, and have made necessary tin: above rule, which will be a hard and fast one. We do not wish to appear arbitrary nor unjust to our busy merchants, and shall continue con-tinue to cull at the local business busi-ness houses on Tins-days and Wednesdays for advertising. We feel, that as the businessmen have seven days in every week, it will not inconvenience them greatly to wait on us on a Wed- I nesday instead of postponing the matter until Thursday. This week, we removed the forms for four inside pages from the press and shifted the -type; accepted advertising Thursday afternoon; and forced out much news copy submitted ' to us by kind contributors to our news columns. We cannot continue such methods. Co-operation with the publisher pub-lisher will get the advertiser just about the position he wants in the paper, and all in all, will make for" a better looking advertising ad-vertising medium. |
