Show BEAVER CLUBS GO AFTER JOHNNIES At a recent luncheon of the Beaver Lions club the members jollied themselves them-selves into the belief that they could kill as many jackrabbits as could the members of the Fish and Game club. By Kidding the majority of the members mem-bers along, the perpetrators of the juke succeeded in having the Lions issue a challenge to the members of the b'ish and Game club for a competitive compe-titive hunt on Friday, Jan. 11th. Of course, there was no hesitency on the part of Harry Diehl, secretary of the game club, and his cohorts, in accepting tho challenge. The rules of the hunt incorporate the following: Ten men from each club with 125 shells each. The hunt wjll he staged in the vicinity of Man-derfield, Man-derfield, and will start at 11 o'clock today and continue for two hours. The stakes will be a banquet at the Beaver Hotel at six o'clock tins evening, even-ing, the losing club paying for tho feed for the twenty hunters and their ladies. -AH members of both the Lions club and Fish and Game club are invited to the banquet, and to those not participating in tho hunt, the charge will be 7fc per plate. There will also be a program and ; entertainment at the banquet and all members of both clubs and their lad-, ies are urged to attend Beaver Press. I n |
