Show A new recoio .cr trc number of approved applications for listing of land by homesteaders on national forests of the Fourth district has been established in the last, ten days with a total of 200 1 acres listed by the forest service with the department depart-ment of agriculture. All or this land is within the boundaries of the national na-tional forest and often adjoins land already taken up for homesteads on the public domain. .Most of the application have come from those who live adjacent to national na-tional forests and It is these settlers upon whom the forest service depends de-pends for aid in protecting forests against fire. The forest service not only keeps a careful record of all such land listed for entry, but also notes the crops which can be best grown, the altitude, nature of the soil and approximate value per acre. |
