Show KEEP THE ELEVENTH GRADE OF OUR SCHOOL Delta, Utah, April 25th, 1022. Dear Patron : kj IS THE HIGH SCHOOL IN DELTA WORTH THE PRICE? In the past school year the patrons of the Delta High school, the business men of our town, the churches, the lodges, the societies, and in fact every organization, have voluntarily contributed to the High Sehool'fund. They have all responded very generously; gen-erously; the bonks have done their part, the churches their part, and in fact, all are to be congratulated. -J In the first drive we were successful in getting from these organizations $978, of which sum $900 was sent to the Board of lEducatlon at Fillmore to help pay for the Eleventh Grade teacher's salary. As the school term is about to draw to a close, the School Eoard has requested that we continue this High School drive and get the remainder re-mainder cf the $1500 due and promised by our committee for the keeping of the Eleventh Elev-enth Grade in Delta. In the last week we have succeeded In raising the amount now on hand to $1.13S. The School Board has notified us that they will reduce the original origi-nal sum specified by $37, by reason of the fact that the school year has been shortened. shorten-ed. This leaves a balance due, unpledged and uncollected of $229.00. In order to meet (his obligation, we are going to designate Saturday, April 29th as High School Day, and the purpose of this letter is to call your attention to the evening's even-ing's enter taim.ient. We are going tdhave a public dance at which regular pickets will prevail. The music will be free and the dance hall will be free. The High School Hand will furnish a few numbers atid the regular dancing music will be there to help us all enjoy the dance. Now if you are not able to be there personally, would it not be showing the right spirit to kindly send in 50c to help the fund? If every person to whom we are sending this letter will do that, we will have plenty to pay the $229 in full. The dance tickets will be 75c per couple, and from those who do not dance, we will take any contribution you desire to make. Remember, "many hands make labor light" and 50c is not going to hurt anyone, but it will be the means of making the promise of your committee good. We are going to Fillmore today to ask for the Eleventh and the Twelfth grades. A full fledged High School for Delta Is our motto. Your help will be appreciated. " Yours for a better school, we remain . Respectfully, YOUR COMMITTEE, Wm. N. Gardner Dr. W. II. Wright R. J. Law Clark Allred Chas. Edwards Mr3. C. II. Hamilton Mrs. W. II. Bassett (P. S.
