Show Testing Child's Musical Ability Musical ability in a child can b well Judged by testing five faculties: The sense of pitch, which is the ability abil-ity to discriminate between higher and I lower tones; the sense of time or p rhvthin; the sense of consonance, which is the ability to tell what is t) '"more pleasing and what is less pleasing; pleas-ing; the sense of Intensity; and musical mu-sical memory, or the ability to remem- ; ber a number of tones from hearing them once.
