Show Utilize Space Under Trees. A good wuy to utilize the space under a shado tree on the home grounds where grass will not grow and where the soil looks bare and ugly Is to utilize the space for potted house plants. In arranging for this, a circle of bricks or natural stone may be made about equal In diameter to the top of the tree. Within this rocky circle the potted plants may be placed, with the shade loving plants nearest the trunk of tho tree In densest dens-est shade, and the sun-loving plants toward the circumference of the circle, cir-cle, where the light Is strongest. The circle of potted plants, (oo,. may be arranged according to size, the larger and taller ones being to the center and the smaller ones on the outer boundary. In this position tbe potted house plants may be easily and safely carried car-ried through the rummer, and they will add materially to the outdoor decoration. The shade will prevent them from drying out, and drainage water will help tbe tirroundlng lawn. |
