Show OFFICE EQUIPPED FOR FARM Excellent Place to Entertain Business Callers Also Suitable for Keeping Keep-ing Account Books. (By GRAIL R. FULLER.) Farming is a business and the manager man-ager of a farm is, or should be, a business busi-ness man. Every city business man has an office because it has been proved an asset to his business. A few farmers have also tried it and proved its efficiency. A few reasons why every farmer should have a business office, even ii It is no more than a space partitioned off In the tool house, are as follows: 1. Bulletins adapted to every phase of the farming business are now avail able and unless these are filed away, they are never to be found when wanted. 2. He often has business callers whe feel averse to walking into the house and talking freely before the woman members of the family, but who are at ease when alone with the farmer An office fitted up cozily with a stove und chairs is a fitting place to take them, especially in cold weather. 3. The time is fast approaching when the successful farmer will know something of science, and an offlct or den is a good place to make hie experiments on soils or other mate rials, or to keep his samples of fenc ing, soils or seeds. 4. There is no farmer but keep some accounts, more or less correct according to the business ability d the- man. He should have a place tc keep these account books. Neatlj printed farm stationery, and a type writer in his office will help the farmel to find a better market for his prod ucts. The cost of fitting a farm office car depend upon the inclinations of th man. It should contain a desk, prefer ably roll top on account of its manj drawers and pigfion holes, an exten sion of the phone from the house; shelves or cabinet for filing his books; pamphlets and samples; a typewritei for his own use and that of his son: and daughters; a stove and a tabK for his experiment's. Other equipmen may be added as needed. Good Motto for Farmers. "Vse your head, and you ii! havt to use your hands less" is a moitc that many farmers can apply to them selves.
