Show ters. On the place there are some sixty brood sows and between two and three .hundred shoats which are being prepared for market. Mr. Moore also has a ten-acre field of fine stock beets which are. growing nicely and present an excellent stand. These will be used to'feed the hogs during the fall and winter. The buildings on the place were all erected by Mr. Larson who is now engaged in the construction con-struction of a large grainery on the place and he is also tlue builder of a fine little sail boat which floats on the big reservoir .and in which we enjoyed a most interesting ride- during a gale. The improvements and arrangements arrange-ments are being built with the idea of a model farm in view and in a few more years it will be an ideal farm, adorned with all the latest improvements and fine shade trees. Snow Crest Making of an Ideal Farm Last Sunday we had the honor of being the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Moore, who are managing man-aging the "Snow Crest" ranch, the property, of George A. Snow. The ranch is situated on an island is-land west of town formed by the Deseret Irrigation Co. reservoir. Practically all the improvement which has been done on the ranch has been accomplished by Mr. Moore in the past year and a half. In that time Mr. Moore has cleared and seeded the place and has most of it in alfalfa now witn good stands coming on. The ranch is equipped with a water system which is piped to the various yards and buildings, the water being furnished from a deep well by means of a gasoline gaso-line engine and pressure-tank. It also sports the largest, most modern mod-ern and best built barn in the Delta country. The place is being equipped for the scientific production of hogs. It has an elegant, ele-gant, well lighted, cozy and convenient con-venient beg house on it, containing contain-ing fifty stalls for brood sows, and all conveniences for feeding and taking care of the young lit- |
