Every man and some children bave been busy hauling alfalfa al-falfa seed this week. Leamington, Including In-cluding the Mcintyre ranch, has under cultivation about 1600 acres. Uf this 1300 acres are In alfalfa, and I think I am aafe In saying that 700 acres of this land Is producing seed this year. Large stacks can be seen In all directions. direc-tions. Threshing has not commenced yet, but we expect to see three machines ma-chines running within two weeks. The hay and grain crops and garden crop will compare favorably with anything any-thing In the county or state, while the cune Is not so good this year. Leamington has hImo increased In population. Twelve females and two male children have been born this year, and the end Is not yet. If the seed crop Is as good after It Is threshed as we think It Is now, some of our up todate farmers are going to build new houses and barns, while others will have the old ones overhauled. over-hauled. John Strang, sr., and Andrew Olson, tho successful apple raisers, have hundreds of bushels to sell this year. Sam (iadd, the Studebaker agent, is here selling wagons. O. II.
