Mother and baby doing nicely. Some weeks ago Mr. George Day, Jr., was hauling hay at Robinson's ranch and in unloading the trip rope broke, and he fell from the load and struck on the back of his head, causing a slight fracture of the skull, Monday morning. He was taken very 111 and was in great j,fln untu tne arrvn f Dr. Stevens, who on Tuesday took Mr. Day to the hospital In Salt Lake City for an operation. Since he went to the city word has been received that he Is improving and will soon be able to rome home. His wife came home this week. The big cattle sale took plucc on the !th to L. J. Cotton of Los Angeles . Cattle were received at Kanosh and weighed up at Meadow, numbering 317 head. Mr. Jesse Avery and wife are going lo make their future home In Idaho. Mr. Herman Whitaker has returned home with his wife. They were married mar-ried In Salt Lake City. Miss urace IVhltaker accompanied them home. She has been In Suit I.ake City taking i dressmaking course. We are also glad to see the smiling ace of Mrs. Emma R. Zwahlen here n a visit. She came down to accompanying accom-panying her sister, Mrs. Llllle R. Peter-ton Peter-ton home, who has been here on a ilslt. Also Miss Isabell Whatcott, ho Is teaching school at La Van, Is ionic for a few days' vacation. Mr. Moses Whitake left last Thurs- 1 lay, Oct. 12, for Provo, where he Is solng to attend the school this winter. 1 Mho another student has gone to attend at-tend the Millard State Academy, Mr. Iaord Aberham, who left last Tuesday, Tues-day, Oct. lo. We only wish th:Te were many more going to the Academy. Mr. Joseph Chrlstensen has returned home to Salt I-ake City to see Dr. Hoseman. Mr. Chrlstensen Is now un der his care for stomach trouble. |
