Show 1917 and of course pork and beef will be as hih in proportion. We had to stwp fall plowing on account ac-count of the frost in the ground, for a time, but I see a good many are ut it again. Ground plowed now for beets will be much better than spring plowing. Mrs. Ericson has gone to Lehi on a visit amoung her people and of course she will have an enjoyable time. A few of our South Tract men are still engaged with the work at the D. L. &. W. Camp. We hope to see many new homes erected er-ected on the South Tract this coming spi-ing and we believe and fervently hope that the drained land will make the easiest handled andmost productive farms on the flat. South Tract Review The Sugar Factory reports seem i more and more encouraging and more of the farmers on the South Tract are talking of raising beets i and some are talking of raising more beets. A meeting has been called, of the members of the South Delta Federal Loan Association for Saturday at 2 p. m. , Dec. 9. All who are interested are urged to be present to help complete the organization and post themselves on the Bill and its uses to the farmer. Our neighbors, the L. E. Johnson family, are sustaining a heavy loss in horses. Their horses were in first-class first-class condition .but they lost all but one. Some of the engineers have left the Delta Land & Water Camp for the winter, but will return in the spring. Corn farmers in Illinois are now getting get-ting $1.03J per bu. for their corn.
