Show OAK CITY. No doubt one of the biggest times ever had In Oak City was that given by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Talbot at the celebration of their golden wedding. wed-ding. Grand children and relatives came from all over the country to participate par-ticipate in the celebration. Iu the morning an Interesting entertainment was given in the Hall and an excellent program rendered. At noon a big banquet ban-quet was held in the school house. The bamiuet Is best described by Geo. K. Finlinson when he said "It was the bejjt he ever attended." The big time ended in a free dance- for all in the evening. At I lie opening of the lishing season last Thursday Oak Creek was lined from one end to the other with de-clples de-clples of Isaac Walton. Game Warden Miah Day and County Attorney R. W. King were on the scene to see that all went aceordihg to law. Fishing Is good this year and many caught all i lie law allowed. Friday night a surprise party was given to Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Dot-son. Dot-son. The relatives of the newly married mar-ried couple turned out und showed them a swell time. A nice program was rendered after which all enjoyed themselves at a banquet given Iu the school house. 4 The speakers at the Sunday afternoon after-noon meeting were Win. Jacohson and L Roy Walker.
