Show T11E NEWS FROM BURINER Mr. James A. Melville came down from Salt Lake City last Wednesday morning with a bunch of men from Payson. Mr. John S. White of the Weekly Reflex, from Kayavllle, was here this last week looking over the land In this pai l of the country. He says the only thing that keeps this from being one of the best farming districts in the country Is the lack of men to till the soil. Durtiier's population Is growing. Three new arrivals have made their appearance the last week. A boy at the home of Delile Knight, also one at Arthur Hunkers, a girl at F. S. Ly-mans, Ly-mans, all doing very nicely. Dr. C. A. DroadduH of Hinckley was seen on our streets last Sunday. In our last Issue we stated that Mr. Frank Taylor and Miss Irene Lewis were married here Wednesday. We wish to correct it. It was Thursday evening at r o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. William A. Taylor performed the ceremony. Miss Nat bulla Cooper was bridesmaid and Mr. Price Lewis was best num. In the evening they gave their wedding dance. The hall was crowded to its hi most and everybody enjoyed them-selves,. them-selves,. The civil engineers of the Delta Company Issues a challenge to the town for a baseball game. I'hey me just nine of tie-in. James A. Melville, who is in charge of the Delta Company's interests here, objects to the engineers leaving their work nt this busy lime. Kdward If. Hunker lias purchased the Will'ord McClelland house und lot on Clark street. Mr. McClelland expects ex-pects to build again soon. S. W. Kecles' big Hale is attracting big crowds dally now. Mr. Kecles reports re-ports doing the largest business he has ever done in any of the previous HllleS. The people from our neighboring towns form the most of his crowds. What came very near being a serious , accident occurred here one day last week. Mr. ("has. The team ran home, crossing canals mid railroad traces without accidents. The baby bounced out nt I the hack end of the wagon just oppo- . site the postoffice, but the other little fellow made a stick of It until the . team slopped. With the exception of skinned faces no serious damage was done. One peculiar thing was the team straddled a row of cedar posts that had no wire on them and broke fourteen of them off before they were stopped.
